UnderGround Review: Tujay Harmoniquez - Parental Guidance

Apologies for the hibernation of The UnderGround Angle. We fiunally completed the review Tujay's new project. Check it out. Peace to Decency for the write up.. 4Site what!!!!!!!

Visionaries, poets, lovers and haters, all those have been incorporated in a mix tape that is said to be a taste of what is yet to come. Yes it has been mentioned that this brother will be releasing a mix tape like none other. I am proud to confirm that the Tujay Harmoniquez EP ‘Parental Guidance’ (PG) is out. The EP consists of 8 tracks each with its own unique feeling. On production Tujay has worked with the likes of our very own Van-Go, Krossword and Louis M Songz (Hammanskraal Stand Up!!!). The tape has two feelings in it. Beat wise, one would expect a commercial theme coming through from the lyrical content. Do not be misled, complete concentration in lyrical content is required so as for you to completely understand the story behind the birth of such a tape.

Comparing the PG EP to 16 Bar Wire which is Tujay’s previous offering, one views a complete amount of change ranging from production to lyrical content. The new team behind the EP has opened a new sense of style within Tujay, leading you to viewing him in a completely different way. Truth be told, the tape deserves to be in the shelves of many music stores waiting for true hip hop heads to grab a copy. Surprisingly, a different approach has been taken in terms of distribution.

It is set aside as an interlude to his upcoming Album titled which also promises to be a heavy hitter in both the commercial and underground revolution. I agree, it does deserve to be an interlude. Simply because, he can do better! Fact is that it is easy to view that Tujay is yet to find comfort and understanding in terms of change in production. On the other hand, he has found the winning team.
